Marc Trachtenberg, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, started playing the piano at age 7.  He graduated from New York University in 1998 with a BS in Music Education. In New York he formed the blue-eyed soul group, Vitamin J.  From there, they travelled to North Carolina to record and tour the East Coast.

He started listening to more diverse styles of music, like the Beatles,
Stevie Wonder, and Ben Folds.  After moving back to Rhode Island, Marc joined Rory and the Blueshounds, and began his own original band, "Trachtenberg," playing throughout Providence with occasional gigs in New York.

Moving back to New York in 2002 brought joy and sadness.  He moved in with his future wife, but also moved at a time when his father fell ill to cancer.  Throughout the turmoil he created "Underground," with songs about love, life and regret.  He also wrote many songs that don't appear on the CD, but can be found on a homemade recording "Coming For You."

His music has received national radio airplay, notably on WBRU in Providence, and American Airlines Radio.  Marc composes for and licenses his music to TV & Film.  Marc has also tried his hand at other ambitions.  He played the voice of Keanu Reeves on MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch.  He starred as the voice of the narrator in Alex Rose's award winning animated short series "Almost Bendy."  The series airs on Comedy Central's "Jump Cuts."  And he has co-written a children's musical with Josh Krakoff "The Lady and the Ladle."  Marc has also written children's music for an educational CD due in schools and online in the winter of '05.
